La productrice de "Pacific Rim", Mary Parent, sachant le vif intérêt de Tom Cruise pour la SF (il vient de tourner coup sur coup "Oblivion" pour Universal et "All You Need is Kill" pour la Warner, sans parler de ses deux films antérieurs pour Spielberg) et ayant précédemment collaboré avec lui sur "Valkyrie" quand le comédien dirigeait Artistes Associés, lui a proposé un scénario relevant du genre, "Our Name is Adam", de T.S. Nowlin. Ce denier a écrit par ailleurs un autre récit de SF et d'action, "Agent 13", que Rupert Wyatt dirigera pour Universal, ayant Charlize Theron en vedette. |
