Paris, may 1972. We just had lunch with Peter, who wanted to try french cheese ! So, we found a restaurant, near Notre Dame, in the Latin Quarter, when they offered him 4O different cheeses ! (with a name on each cheese). He didnt eat them all, of course, but seemed very pleased with this lunch. His Hotel was the Prince de Galles, in the Champs Elysées (an english hotel, at the time ! Now called The Four Seasons). The guy on the left was the animator of the Théâtre des Amandiers, the only theatre (outside Paris, not far, close to the Nanterre University where the 1968 "revolution" began... I was a student there, at the time, I remember well the event...) which accepted that manifestation (I had been looking for that for several months) He was great in helping me. Without him, there would not have been a festival. At least, not so soon. The next year, we went to The Palace (1.200 seats), near the Rex Theatre. And 4 years later, we were at the Rex Theatre (3.000 seats). |
